Diagnostic Ultrasound

Diagnostic ultrasound is used to explore body tissues using sound waves. The images can help the veterinary team evaluate internal organs for size, structure and vascularity (the appearance of veins), and to help find abnormalities such as tumours, bladder stones, cysts and foreign objects. We also use ultrasound to evaluate tendons and ligaments for orthopedic problems, and for pregnancy diagnosis and care.
